Guanqiao Town to carry out wood processing industry safety production special inspection

To deepen the standardization of full coverage, self-creation, voluntary operation and self-improvement in the industry, taking the three-year action plan for addressing the root cause of work safety as the starting point, we will resolutely prevent and defuse major accident risks, highlight fire safety, implement the -day special action plan for key areas of work safety, further clarify the regulatory situation, and establish an enterprise ledger. Promote the full implementation of the primary responsibility for work safety by forestry enterprises and public institutions, ensure the safe and stable production of enterprises, and continuously carry out the investigation and rectification of work safety hazards.

Recently, the town's forestry station and the safety supervision office conducted a comprehensive safety production inspection of the enterprise through on-site inspections and discussions with the enterprise's responsible persons. The inspectors focused on checking the following contents: the formulation and implementation of the "three lists" (i.e., the risk list, the responsibility list, and the measure list), the investigation of major accident hazards, whether the safety fire escape routes are unobstructed, and the safety management situation at the production site, etc.

During this special inspection, a total of seven wood processing enterprises, including Shijian Wood Industry, Tangqing Furniture, Hongxin Yi Handicrafts, and Fenfang Wood Products Handicrafts, were inspected. It was found that some of these wood processing enterprises had the following problems: occupying safety passages or fire exits; Miscellaneous items are piled up around the fire hydrant. Fire-fighting equipment was not inspected as required. The dust was not swept up in time.

For these issues, we adhere to a classified approach to promote rectification: for potential problems that can be rectified immediately, enterprises are required to make corrections as soon as they are identified. For potential hazards that cannot be rectified on the spot, issue a time-limited rectification order and require the enterprise's responsible person to further strengthen the safety education and training of employees and enhance their safety awareness.

Next, the town's forestry station will focus on establishing and improving a regular mechanism for hidden danger investigation and governance as well as a systematic safety supervision system, implementing long-term management, and standardizing the business order of the industry. At the same time, conduct a "look back" on the safety production work of wood processing enterprises to ensure that all safety hazards and issues are rectified in place and prevent similar problems from happening again.
